American Mercury Insurance Group offers the following levels of protection:
- Platinum: Top-Of-The-Line, Named Exclusion Protection
- Gold: Very Extensive Named Component Protection
- Silver: Good Named Component Protection
American Mercury Insurance Group's Plans cover 100% of all covered components, parts and labor charges including applicable taxes less any deductible that may apply. Our Plans also offer "Wear-and-tear" coverage, meaning any part that has worn beyond the "Manufacturer's Tolerance" and has resulted in a verifiable mechanical breakdown of the part, not just a gradual reduction of operating performance. Seals and gaskets are covered for all covered components.
Platinum: Top-Of-The-Line, Named Exclusion Protection
The American Mercury Insurance Group's Platinum Protection Plan is designed for the individual that wants the most comprehensive extended warranty available that provides the maximum amount of Peace-of-Mind.
The Platinum Protection Plan extends coverage to virtually all mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle unless the part is specifically listed as not covered. Platinum Protection is the best and most comprehensive extended warranty coverage (Mechanical Breakdown Protection) that you can purchase for your vehicle. In other words, if it breaks, stops working, or just wears out and it is not included in the list of excluded items, then "we've got you covered"!
The items that are excluded are comparable to the items that are excluded in your manufacturer warranty. These mainly include consumable items (brake pads/rotors, shocks/struts, etc.), cosmetic items (trim/molding, upholstery, appearance items, etc.), and maintenance items (belts/hoses, alignments/adjustments, oil changes, etc.). Examples of parts not covered are: audio speakers, batteries, bumpers, cables, brake drums and rotors, brake pads and shoes, clamps and fasteners, convertible tops, exhaust and emission system (including catalytic converter), filters, fluids (except in conjunction with a covered repair), glass, lights/bulbs/lenses, manual clutch components, navigation systems, shock absorbers, struts, suspension springs, torsion bars, tune-ups, wiper blades, wheels, wheel lug nuts/studs, video entertainment equipment, and any component or equipment not installed by the vehicle manufacturer.
Gold: Very Extensive Named Component Protection

The Gold Protection Plan is our most extensive named component coverage, providing a comprehensive list of covered items.
All major systems of your vehicle are covered including the Engine, Transmission/Transfer Case, Drive Axel, Electrical, Brake, Suspension, Fuel, Steering, Air Conditioning, Audio and Various Hardware. Silver: Good Named Component Protection
